2004
  There’s no doubt. Skånevik Blues festival 2004 became a brilliant experience people will never forget. It was more crowded than ever with an enthusiastic audience.The artists put their best foot forward. The atmosphere was on top and a lot of the thousands that were here seemed to be in high spirits  enjoying it the whole first weekend in July.

Bergen’s Avisen: - You are fabulous, yelled the guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Scorpions sat the audience record in Skånevik Saturday night. Almost 6000 people came from the west and the east of Norway to hear the German hard rockers.

2003
  International top artists like legendary Johnny Winter, The Blues Brothers Band and Peter Green Splinter Group did their best to make the festival the best ever. They got a very good reference from the magazine Blues news.

Fabulous  Skånevik
Everything worked out under the yearly Blues festival in Skånevik and the sun came as ordered. Perfect sunny  weather and a great artist list made this  the best festival of times in the little village on the western  coast of Norway. On the spot was guitar legend Johnny Winter, Peter Green, Steve Cropper and Junior Watson. They looked like they  enjoyed the western Norway sea air. They delivered guitar blues to a satisfied  and highly spirited audience in the large Blues tent. Johnny Winter, was at one point erased from the poster because he couldn’t  come. But believe it or not;  he cancelled a concert tour in Germany  just to get a few days in Skånevik.    

2002
  It was a sensation that one of the world’s greatest blues-/rock artists Gary Moore visited Skånevik Blues festival in 2002. He created a wonderful atmosphere in the huge Blues tent and fulfilled everyone’s expectations in every way. The bad weather did not ruin the festival that had over 6000 visitors. Top artists like Eric Sardinas and Peter Green confirmed that the program was the best program ever in the history of the festival.

2001
  With John Mayall And The Bluesbreakers,  Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, Roy Rogers & The Delta Rhythm Kings, Angela Brown & The Mighty 45’s  and Luddy Samms & The Deliverers as artists the Blues festival just had to be a giant success this year too.  One of the world’s best slide guitarists could not understand how a small village like Skånevik, could arrange a festival as good as this! Many thousand visitors had a good time in the lovely weather. 

2000
  The Blues festival has never had as many visitors  as this year. The king of Rock ‘N’ Roll – Chuck  Berry, The Blues legend – Bobby Rush and the world’s best R&B/rootsrock band The Fabulous Thunderbirds really “ brought the down the whole house”.             The atmosphere at the festival has never been anything like this year. Many of the visitors wanted to spend the night in tents, and it looked as if they had their time of their life! All the many arrangement were very well visited, also this year we had very nice weather.

1999
  In 1999 the festival was extended to three days. New this year was a Blues concert in the local church on Sunday afternoon .

Skånevik Blues Festival 1999 was a huge success. The audience came in a number of 3000 to the concerts, theBlues Cruise,the Blues Lunch at the Hotel-lawn,the Church – concert and of course to the Blues Tent ,Friday and Saturday. The artists turned up in top shape and made a fantastic experience  for all those who showed up this weekend.
With artists like John Hammond, Vidar Busk and His True Belivers, Reidar Larsen & The Storytellers, The Spirit of Love Singers, Rita Eriksen, Nobody’s Business, Deborah Coleman & The Thrillseekers, Flaaten, Tubersnakes, Blues Project and Kim Fairchild there was no doubt this would be an unforgettable show! 

1998
  In 1998 were Skånevik Bluesfestival extended to two days. The two arrangements Friday and Saturday took place in a huge blues tent and the atmosphere was fantastic. The new idea of the year was the Blues Cruise on the fjord of Skånevik and a Blues Lunch in the hotelgarden.

All the  arrangements had lots of visitors. From the program in 1998 we can mention  these artists here:
Michael Roach, Good Time Charlie, Vetrhus Bluesband, Renn Loren, Flaaten and Blues Project.

1997
  Skånevik Bluesfestival was arranged for the first time in 1997. The intention was to create a new musical event for the blues interested people in western Norway. Even though there was only one big arrangment in the bluestent,  the festival was a big success with a great atmosphere all night.
